1972 - Yellow - "Tushai"
2 legs on C.D. including High-scoring Lab in trial; match show Group 1st, licensed bench places. A superior marker and natural handling dog who put both traits into all her descendants. Tushai would retrieve from ice water until she turned blue, and still wanted to go back for more. All our breeding stock are linebred back to Tushai.

Avalanche Kennels Reg'd. was owned by the late LeRoy "Eddie" Barbeau of Helena MT. He'd been a professional retriever trainer since 1925, starting with the famous Woodend Kennels in Mound MN. [Note: the odd spellings in the pedigree, "Chanch" and "Avalanch" with no trailing "e", are correct according to both AKC Stud Books and the original registration certificates.]
